Psalms 46:1 (NIV)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble
In the past I drove several "hooptie" cars. Even short trips could be a challenge. When a tire went flat, smoke came pouring out of a radiator, or I was stranded on the side of the rode, help seemed to appear out of nowhere. I never had to change my flat or walk a long distance. My faith and trust in God is always my antidote in any trouble I face.
God Himself is my help - not from a distance but a "very present help." God never withdraws Himself from me. He is my help effectually and constantly. He is closer than any friend or family more present than any of my troubles.
God dwells in my heart, He is my Father. He is a real refuge, strength and help to me. There is no reason to fear, even in the biggest crisis.
God is my refuge. God is my source of strength when I am weak.
